End of June

seize the day
the end of June way
with blooming flowers
and green tree leaves
with rain that lasts all day
and hot pavements where dandelions sway
to gentle breezes
that cool the sweat
as I gaze where twinkling lights met
in the rolling field
firefly light mixed with starlight
on a night that reminds me
to simply release the fight
